Library Rules and Regulations

1. Upon entering the library premises, users are required to deposit their belongings at the counter, except for valuables. The library staff are not liable for any loss incurred while inside the library.
2. Proper conduct is expected from everyone at all times. Please observe silence, refrain from idle conversations, loud laughter, or any unnecessary noise. Those causing disturbances may be asked to leave the library.
3. Please refrain from hiding or misfiling library materials to ensure fair and easy access for all users.
4. Please note that reserving seats is not allowed. To ensure everyone has a place, any unattended items left to hold seats may be removed by library staff.
5. Let’s work together to keep the library clean—please use the waste bins provided for your trash.
6. Please maintain order by returning your chair to the table after use to ensure clear pathways for other library users.
7. In the event that a guest loses their baggage number, appropriate disciplinary measures may be enforced.
8. Please handle books and other materials with care, as they are meant to be used by many others after you.
9. Please refrain from writing on tables, chairs, or books, as well as from removing or damaging library materials. Tearing pages and any other harm beyond normal wear and tear are not allowed to help us keep our collection in great condition for everyone.
10. Please do not remove materials from the library or install, alter, or delete programs without permission. Violations may be subject to appropriate action as determined by the Provincial Librarian.
11. Please avoid public displays of affection (PDA) inside the library to maintain a respectful environment for all.
12. Food may be brought in, but please consume it in the cafeteria.
13. Please use computers and Wi-Fi services exclusively for educational and research purposes.
14. Any violation of the above rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action.
